The big day is here folks! So dig deep and stay tuned to the BBC tonight.
And add your jokes!
We excitedly went to Kev F Sutherland’s World Record attempt last night to watch him tell as many jokes as possible in 1 hour… but unfortunately his total of over 470 didn’t beat the record which currently stands at 549.
But he did really well - it looked like hard work so we applaud his attempt!
BBC Points West are helping assist in a World Record attempt for the most jokes told in an hour - with any proceeds from a collection going to Comic Relief.
And so who else should they ask to help provide the jokes? BigJokeBook ofcourse!
So just so you know - if, or rather ‘when’, you enter your jokes into the BigJokeBook, they might also be used by the Beeb!
Phew - just back from Cabot Circus, Bristol, where we officially launched BigJokeBook.co.uk! Thanks to all our star joke tellers!

Wibfilm Ltd
TREMENDOUS applause goes to Wibfilm Ltd - our fantastic video production friends from just up the road in Brizzol, without whom today’s launch wouldn’t have happened.
The whole scene in Cabot Circus was based around the viral video Wifilm are making for BigJokeBook.co.uk - BigJokeBook tv. They put a big sofa in the middle of a busy shopping area (with permission ofcourse!) and filmed loads of lovely people telling jokes!
They brought fancy dress - as well as the sofa obviously - and an enthusiastic team of ‘wibbers’ to Direct, Produce, Film and just generally do everything! Special thanks goes Martin - Chief Wibber for the idea and all his hard work, and Becky who has been a star in organising filming licenses etc.
We were there for 8am sharp, so as to be interviewed for BBC Radio Bristol - unfortunately we lost reception and I got cut off! Many many thanks to those guys for coming down and for getting up early especially!
And then BBC Points West rolled up - filming people telling jokes, and even holding a live Interview with Martin Finney of Wibfilm and myself, Lisa Bailey, 18a Productions. We’re also going to be on Points West tonight - so stay tuned between 6.30pm and 7pm.
Thanks also has to of course, go to Cabot Circus and Space 2 Film for letting us shoot there.
As soon as BigJokeBook tv is ready to air - it’ll be on the site!
Apple iPhone Icon
Still too early to be doing things like this! But BigJokeBook.co.uk now has it’s own iPhone icon. This means that if you add it to the home screen on your iPhone, you don’t just see a screenshot of the website, you get a proper little icon
If you want your own, just give our developers a shout.
It’s far too early in the morning to be working on things like this! But - none the less - you can now add a desk top shortcut to your computer, so bigjokebook.co.uk is only ever a click away! To do it, you need to have Google Gears installed. If you haven’t, no worries, the site will prompt you and tell you how to install it.
As far as we can find, we’re the only development company in the world who include this functionality on websites! (Right now, anyway.) Cool, eh?!
Bigjokebook.co.uk is live! Tell us what you think! And most importantly, get adding your jokes for Comic Relief!
We’ve got some serious functionality on this baby!

I just went and got our banner for the Cabot Circus launch tomorrow - it looks fab! Many many thanks to the guys at Display and Innovation for printing it for us and lending us a stand! And for even coming and finding me when I got lost on the way to them (I was only around the corner, honest).
I’ll put a photo up tomorrow to show you how it looked!
